This blog is about my experiences in life and as a nurse. I have been a registered nurse for the last fifteen almost sixteen years. Taking care of patients has been a privilege and an honor for me. Patients entrust their lives to us during some of their lowest points. I hope that all of us entrusted with each one of them can make a difference every day.
I am also passionate about writing. I write about everyday things and my experiences as a nurse. I have learned many of these lessons over the years as a nurse, and the learning never stops.
Writing is also therapeutic for me; it takes me to a place of reflection and gratitude. I, therefore, decided to put some of my thoughts in a blog so I can share them. These are everyday experiences that can tie back to nursing in one way or another. They are not absolutes, just reflections as an author and nurse blogger. In my spare time, if there is such a thing, I love to cook. I also make beautiful seasonal wreaths that I hope I can share on this page.
As a visitor here, you are part of a fantastic community. Please take some time and read my stories. I hope they can be meaningful to you and a source of reflection like they are to me. I invite you to leave your comments, thoughts, and suggestions. If you find something interesting, please share it. I am sure your comments are going to be a source of growth for me too.
Thank you so much for being part of this community. There are plenty of ways that you can become more involved. Please watch this page, hopefully, we can have some more interactions on social media too. Thank you so much for stopping by!

I am so excited to share with you my first book! Reflections of a Medical-Surgical Nurse, written in poem format, is a reflection of my interactions with patients over the years. It is a privilege to take care of them. They deserve the very best for entrusting their lives to us during their most vulnerable time.
